HEY PRES? HOW DOES THAT ALBATROSS FEEL?
November 3rd, 2009 by Brett Reetz

Obama Deafness!

Obama Deafness!

Tonight, the Republicans won gubernatorial races in New Jersey and Virginia despite strong support from the Obama administration for the incumbent democrats. Governor Deeds in Virginia initially received strong support, until the polls waivered, at which time Obama quickly threw him under the boss, leaving the field wide open for McDonnel to win the election. Korzine, the democratic governor of New Jersey, had help from Obama right up until the end. Both democrats lost. Both conservatives won.

And what do you know? The Obama folks are distancing themselves from the losses. Attacking Deeds for not following the script. Not so much attacking Korzine but rather stating that it’s typical. The Obama administration is already stating that, in fact, only two presidents in history have not suffered interim election losses. They were, and the Obama Administration will tell you this, George W. Bush and Franklin D. Roosevelt. The Obama Administration will also tell you that both these presidents defied the odds because they were in a crisis when the interim elections occurred. FDR had the great depression. Bush had 911. So, the two Presidents who did not suffer interim election losses in their party, were in the middle of crisis, unlike the, Uh Oh . . . Wait a second . . . I just remembered President Obama has repeatedly stated that we are in a crisis. I think the words were, “the worst financial crisis since the great depression.” Yes, those are President Obama’s words. So, just like FDR and Bush, Obama’s got his crisis but unlike FDR and Bush, Obama couldn’t leverage it to get his folks elected in the interim-elections. Even with the abject love Obama and his crew have for a good crisis, they couldn’t drag their boys across the finish line.

Now why is that? Here’s why. There is a crisis of sorts, they’ve got that right. What Obama doesn’t have right is the cure for the crisis. He’s putting a fire out with gasoline. And that’s what this vote’s about, Obama’s policies. The voters rejected the policies, by rejecting the incumbents who endorsed Obama’s policies. It is as simple as that. So Mr. President, when you look in the mirror on November 4th, 2009 and tell yourself that “it’s not my fault, it’s not a reflection on me, only two past presidents’ parties didn’t lose interim-elections, and they had cris . . .” Don’t go with the crisis comparison Mr. President, because you, by your own words, have a crisis just like Bush and FDR and yet, your party lost because your policies were rejected. Your policies are very un-American. This is another reason your groupies lost. Americans really despise un-American policies. You should make a note of that Mr. President. Americans dislike un-American policies so much so they even rejected your supporters. Technically and metaphorically, the voters held “you” against “them.”

So the ultimate question that needs to be asked, by you, by me, by the people, is this; “How’s that Albatross feel around your neck Mr. President? Your arrogant anti-American policies have been rejected, big time, so how does that bird feel? I don’t personally know how it feels, but I’ll give you this; from my point of view it looks splendid.

And that’s my Reetzality for the day.

Thanks for the read.
